iGrafx Process Automation Browser Access
The below browser requirements are applicable for the main components for process automationProcess Automation Executing a modeled process directly via a workflow engine, with human tasks, system calls, and decision logic orchestrated from the model. access for end users:
- Management Clients: Browser-based interface for performing automated process tasks and monitoring progress. Includes the To-Do client, the Process Manager client and Process Monitor client.
- Process DesignProcess Design The discipline of explicitly modeling business processes to document, analyze, and optimize them. In Process360 Live, process design is the authoring side that complements mining's data-driven view.: Web diagrams created in the iGrafx Platform to design the processes that will be deployed.
iGrafx Process Automation Server
The Automation Server provides the administration and runtime engine of automated processes.
Java Application Server
WildFly 37.0.1
Java Virtual Machine (JVM)
Java 17 (required)
Operating Systems
The Automation Server is a Java-based application and runs on most operating systems that have a supported Java JDK installed, as long as the operating system is not end-of-life. Any of these may also be run as a virtual host.
Recommended
The latest Debian release — the engine is continuously tested against it and fully supported.
Minimum / Compatible
- Any current (non-EOL) Debian release
- Windows Server (any non-end-of-life edition)
- Any other non-end-of-life Unix/Linux distribution
Hardware
The following sizing scales with the number of automated tasks executed per month. Requirements for higher transaction volumes, complex process loads, or extensive system integrations can be refined during the design phase of the process deployment.
| Component | Minimum (~300 tasks/month) | Recommended (up to 1,000) | High (up to 10,000) |
|---|---|---|---|
| CPU | 2 cores | 2 cores | 2 cores |
| RAM | 6 GB | 8 GB | 16 GB |
| Free disk space | 20 GB | 20 GB | 20 GB |
HTTP Verbs/Methods
Firewall or other network settings must not block any of the following HTTP verbs/methods: PUT GET POST DELETE
Database Server
Hardware
| Component | Minimum | Recommended | High |
|---|---|---|---|
| CPU | 2 cores | 2 cores | 2 cores |
| RAM | 2 GB | 4 GB | 8 GB |
| Free disk space | 20 GB | 20 GB | 50 GB |
Supported Databases
The Automation Server supports the following relational databases:
- MySQL: 8.x, 5.7
- Microsoft SQL Server: 2022, 2019 (RTM-CU9)
- Oracle: 12.2, 19c, 21c
- Azure
Please see your database vendor's documentation for the system requirements of the database server.
Database sizing
The required space allocation for the database depends on the desired usage patterns, attachments and data entered or collected during execution and the volume of transactions. Our Pro Services team can provide a more accurate sizing on request, if you have the ability to grow the database size dynamically we recommend with an allocation between 5 to 50 GB.
Supported JDBC Drivers
Microsoft® SQL Server: Microsoft SQL JDBC Driver
When using JDBC over JNDI, the respective drivers needs to be made available by adding them to the classpath of the application server. This procedure can be different for each customer's infrastructure, consulting through iGrafx Professional Services is recommended if you plan to use JNDI. This scenario is not applicable for most customers.
Terminology
- Recommended — Platform is fully qualified and full support will be provided for platform-specific issues.
- Compatible — Platform-specific issues will be investigated and supported where possible.
- Minimum — The bare minimum requirement to start the listed product or service.
