Export a report to Excel

Download a report as an Excel (.xlsx) file to share its data or work with it outside the repository.

Prerequisites

  • A Generic List or Table, Text Search Report, or Generic Matrix report you can view. Risk Map reports can't be exported to Excel, and narrative reports export to Word and PDF instead — see Narrative reports.

Steps

  1. Open the report and, if it isn't already showing, select the Report tab.
  2. Below the report on the right, either:
    • Click Download data to download right away in the current format, or

    • Click Choose download format (the arrow next to Download data) to open the Download report dialog, pick a Format, and click Download:

In Process360 Live, process design is the authoring side that complements mining's data-driven view. view (the default) — matches how the report appears on screen; object names are clickable links.
      • Plain data view — a basic dataset that adds fields such as object ID and object type; object names are plain text.

Turn on Remember this choice for future downloads to skip the dialog next time.

  3. Open the downloaded .xlsx file from your browser's downloads.

Verify

The downloaded file opens in Excel and contains the report's rows and columns as shown on screen. Because report output respects your permissions, objects you can't access don't appear in the export.

Limitations

  • Download data is available for list, text-search, and matrix reports only. It doesn't appear on Risk Map reports.
  • Narrative reports use a separate Word and PDF export — see Narrative reports.
