Pia - Custom Instructions

A server administrator can now give Pia standing instructions that it applies to every interaction, so its answers follow your organization's conventions without each user restating them. The instructions are typed as text, uploaded as documents, or both, and live in a Custom Instructions section on the AI Settings page.

Pia - New Diagram Layout

With the New Diagram Layout for Pia Early Access setting switched on, a diagram Pia drafts carries more of the detail a modeler would add by hand. Pia now gives an activity its BPMN type — user, service, manual, script, send, receive, business rule, or call activity — marks a gateway as exclusive, parallel, or inclusive, and ends each outcome of the process at its own named end event. It also names the pools it draws, and gives participants that deal with each other at arm's length a pool each.

Reporting - Sorting by Subproperty Columns

A list or table report now sorts by any of its columns, including a column that shows a subproperty of a related object. Multi-level sorting covers those columns too, and within a row the values of a multi-value property follow the same order.

Reporting - Saved and Multiselect Column Filters

A column's property filter now accepts several values at once and offers a (No value) entry that keeps the rows where the property is empty. A filter you set while the report is checked out to you now counts as one of the report's settings, alongside its sorting, so everyone opens the report the same way once you check it in.

Reporting - Filtering Inside Multi-Valued Properties

A column filter on a nested, multi-valued property now removes the values that don't match from inside each row, rather than keeping every value of any row that matched somewhere. An object with no matching value anywhere along the filtered path drops out entirely, and the Excel download matches what's on screen.

Dashboard - Describes Information in the Diagram Gadget

A Diagram gadget can now show what a shape describes without the reader leaving the dashboard. A shape that describes an enterprise object opens a read-only panel with the object's relationships, custom properties, and related Risk, Control, and Performance Indicator data. When the diagram itself describes an object, a button in the gadget's lower-left corner opens the same panel for it. The panel can be maximized, and a reader can move from one related object to the next and back along the path they took.

Dashboard - More Control Over the Diagram Gadget

A Diagram gadget can now hide its Expand button, which keeps a reader inside the dashboard rather than sending them to the model area. Its Hide icons setting can also apply only to navigation diagrams, so the indicator icons — including the Describes indicators — still appear on the process diagrams reached through links.

Diagramming - Snap Objects To Grid

The Arrange panel has a new Grid section whose Snap Objects To Grid command puts the selected shapes and connector ends back on the grid in one step, so a diagram that has drifted off-grid can be tidied without nudging each shape. Manual waypoints on a connector are left as they are.

Diagramming - Comment Actions and Attachment

A comment in a web diagram now has its own right-click menu, with Delete, Detach From Shape, and Mark As Read or Mark As Unread, and the Delete and Backspace keys remove the selected comment. Attaching a comment inside a pool also changed: a pool, a lane, or a phase takes a comment on its header, which leaves the shapes inside the pool free to be targets of their own.

Simulation - Keep the Top Runs of a Run All

A Run all scenarios can now keep only its best runs instead of every one. With a Scoring function set on Run Setup, the simulation ranks the runs by that score and keeps the number given in Top results. The statistics, the comparison table, and every download then cover the runs that were kept, each under its own run name.

Simulation - Variable Assignments on Transitions

A connector line now carries its own Variable Assignments tab, so a simulation can change a variable as a case enters or leaves a transition rather than only at a shape.

Workspace - History Panel On by Default

The History panel in the top bar, which lists the items you visited and takes you back to any of them, is now available to everyone out of the box. It previously needed an administrator to switch it on.

Auditing - Permission, Group, and Repository Setting Events

The audit trail now covers the changes an administrator makes to access and configuration. Creating, renaming, and deleting a group are recorded, along with the members a deleted group held, and so is every change to a repository setting, with the setting's name and its old and new values. Together with the role assignment events, this makes it possible to trace who changed permissions and when.

Administration - Enabled and Disabled Account Counts

User management now shows how many accounts are enabled and how many are disabled, on the Users list and on each group, so an administrator can see the split without opening each account.

UX/UI Improvements

A Go to top control appears in the diagram view bar once a diagram is scrolled down, and returns the view to the top of the content without changing the zoom or the horizontal position. Read more: View a diagram
Dropdowns and menus across the platform, including the repository, language, and user menus in the header, now match the look used elsewhere in the product, and a menu that scrolls is no longer narrower than the control that opened it. Read more: Workspace
The Cycle Groups and Object Types administration pages now use the same layout as the other administration pages, each with its own search: Object Types filters the tree to the matches, and Cycle Groups goes straight to the group you pick.
