Early Access and General Access
Early Access and General Access are the two opt-in stages a larger feature moves through before it becomes a permanent part of iGrafx Process360 LiveProcess360 Live iGrafx's cloud platform for end-to-end process management — combining process design, mining, simulation, and automation in a single environment.. They let organizations that want the newest features try them right away, while organizations that value stability adopt them on their own schedule.
Overview
New features that change existing functionality — and most larger features — ship behind a feature toggle rather than appearing for everyone at once. An administrator manages these toggles under Admin → Server Settings → Early Access; each feature has a short description and a checkbox, and applies to the whole organization. Smaller, low-risk additions still release directly into the product without a toggle.
Key concepts
- Early Access — the feature is released as soon as it's usable, off by default. Turn it on to try it, knowing that it may still change noticeably and that you're more likely to encounter defects than in a General Access feature. iGrafx actively collects feedback on Early Access features — each one links to a feedback channel, and customers who want to shape a feature can partner with the iGrafx product development team through their Account Executive.
- General Access — the feature has met its design goals, the known issues are under control, and iGrafx support teams are trained on it. It's on by default, but an administrator can still turn it off for a limited time — for example to finish internal training or change-management work — and turn it back on when ready.
- Product Integration — the final stage: the feature becomes a permanent part of the product and its toggle disappears. General Access features carry a planned integration date (a not-earlier-than date) on the Early Access page.
- Per-user preview — a few UI-only features can also be turned on per person, on the Early Access tab of My Profile, without affecting anyone else.
In this documentation, pages for Early Access features carry an early-access marker and name the toggle an administrator has to enable.
