Connect the Desktop Client to a repository

Sign an installed Desktop Client in to a Process360 LiveProcess360 Live iGrafx's cloud platform for end-to-end process management — combining process design, mining, simulation, and automation in a single environment. repository, so you can check documents out of it and back in.

Prerequisites​

  • A Process360 LiveProcess360 Live iGrafx's cloud platform for end-to-end process management — combining process design, mining, simulation, and automation in a single environment. user license, as well as the Desktop Client license. The two products are bought separately — see About the Desktop Client.
  • The Server URL of your platform.
  • One sign-in to the web application already completed. The first-time prompts to accept the End User License Agreement and choose a display language interrupt the client's sign-in, so the first sign-in has to happen in the browser.
  • Where the platform uses the classic iGrafx Login and you intend to sign in with an API key, a key generated for you by an administrator — see API authentication method.

Steps​

  1. In the client, open the connection dialog and enter the Server URL of your platform.
  2. Choose the option that matches how your platform signs people in. To tell the two apart, see Which path to follow.
    • Use Single Sign-On — for the iGrafx IdentityiGrafx Identity The iGrafx identity and access management service that brokers authentication between customer identity providers and Process360 Live components. Solution. Select this even when no identity provider is configured: the client opens a Single Sign On window where you sign in with your iGrafx credentials.
    • Use these credentials — for the classic iGrafx Login. Enter your platform username and password, or an API key in place of the password.
  3. Complete the sign-in in the window the client opens.

Verify​

The repository appears in the client's Repositories window, and you can check a document out and back in.

Limitations​

  • A username and password are not accepted on the iGrafx IdentityiGrafx Identity The iGrafx identity and access management service that brokers authentication between customer identity providers and Process360 Live components. Solution. Sign in with Use Single Sign-On, or put an API key in the password field — an API key works on both sign-in paths.
