About Diagram Interchange
The primary purpose for the SAP Solman 7.2 synchronizer is to provide System of Record Integration to access important process architecture information stored in Solution Manager. This is often used for supporting other operational processes, and helps understand and report the impact to operations from the process steps running within SAP.
Solman 7.2 added a diagramming capability to capture the sequencing and other useful supporting process information using BPMN 2.0 diagrams within Solution Manager itself. In many cases these diagrams are too technically detailed to be of use to iGrafx platform users, but there are also cases where it would be useful to import Solution Manager diagrams into the iGrafx repostiory. To do this involves exporting the diagrams from Solution Manager into BPMN 2.0 XML, which is one of the diagram import formats that is supported by iGrafx. The exported files can be imported into existing or new diagrams in iGrafx.
If, on the other hand, there is a desire to bring an existing iGrafx diagram into Solution Manager, this can also be done via Export Diagram from the iGrafx Platform and import into Solution Manager as a Diagram. When this is imported into Solution Manager, the user has the option to create Process Step objects that are represented by the shapes in the diagram.
